The heart of Scribble Tone

Lizy Gershenzon and Travis Kochel started working together over six years ago in Chicago, IL. An affection for nature led them to New Zealand in early 2008, where they officially started Scribble Tone. Expired visas and a love of family brought them back to the States, and they set up shop in the beautiful and forward-thinking Portland, Oregon.

With their strong partnership, hard work and love of good design, Lizy and Travis continue to push Scribble Tone forward. They both also set aside time for personal projects, bringing new perspective and value to client work. Travis enjoys designing typefaces and recently launched Chartwell, an OpenType font that makes graphs. Lizy has been helping WeMake organize workshops for Portland designers. She also runs The Web Therapist, a pre-fab web solution to make creating a web presence a little easier for therapists. In addition, they are both adjunct professors in the Graphic Design program at Portland State University.

They currently share a lively and supportive co-woking studio called The Fieldhouse with Jolby and Cuban Council.
