Scribble Tone is a product design studio that specializes in creating new apps, brands, and designing typefaces. We invent opportunities, and shape ideas with strategy, branding, design, and development. We make our own products and partner with talented friends and clients.

Creating and launching personal projects gives us a unique perspective of the larger process, identifying opportunity, and how to prioritize features. We are good at defining the idea, designing it, and then building it out. At the root of it though, we seek projects that challenge the status quo, and are useful to remarkable communities and causes.

Scribble Tone is led by Lizy Gershenzon and Travis Kochel. With over 10 years of experience leading brands and digital projects together, they are a very rare and valuable team in this industry. Their strengths complement each other well, are efficient at making new products, and have similar values, passion and drive.

Travis is our creative technology lead, and is amazing at focusing, coming up with innovative ideas, and building well designed systems. Whether it’s learning a new coding language, designing a type family, or rock climbing, he has a creative, organized, and methodical approach. Travis also loves space and the mountains.

Lizy leads design and vision. She has a gift for connecting with people and making a project come alive. She is sensitive to how an interface and brand feels, and is always thinking about smart directions a product can grow with strategies on how to get it there. Lizy also loves being active in the outdoors, playing tennis, and moving with dance and yoga.
